The Mobitrike 2.5 model offers everything you need for urban exploration, entertainment, and commuter needs. Designed for consumer use and commercial rental operations, the 2.5 will meet the needs for most riders. The 250 watt motor is adequate for speeds up to 19.8 MPH and small hill conditions. The 36 volt, 13 amp hour battery provides stable power for distance riding and rental use. Five (5) speed choices are standard on both models.

If you are looking for more torque and take-off power, the Mobitrike 5.0 will power through hills and climbs. Power of the 500 watt motor is evident when compared to the 2.5. Speed 5 is designed for maximum amp draw for quick take-off and torque needed to conquer hills. Power is provided by a 48 volt, 13 amp hour battery. We recommend speed settings 4 and 5 for quick bursts of power and torque when needed. Speeds 1 through 3 will offer a riding experience similar to the 2.5. With the 5.0, your battery and speeds need to be looked at like fuel. The higher the speed chosen, the more torque and amps drawn from the battery, and more fuel (battery power) consumed. Distance riding and commuting should accomplished with speeds 1 through 3 while speeds 4 and 5 should be reserved for “sport” mode when needed. Top speed of the 5.0 is 19.8 MPH.

Both models share the same chrome moly frame, brakes, wheels, and hardware. Only the controller, motor, and battery differ. If you find yourself in “sport” mode throughout life, the 5.0 will likely be your best choice. Otherwise, the 2.5 has been a staple for commercial and consumer used prior to the release of the 5.0 model.
